Your bike needs regular servicing and maintenance to protect the life of your bike’s components and to achieve optimum cycling performance and safety.
How often or how frequently your bike should be serviced. It's a difficult question to answer because it depends on how and where it's ridden as well as its condition. We will advise you the service you bike needs after inspecting it.

Tune Up and Service (Half Overhoul) $80
How often do we recommend? Every 6 months / 3000km, depending on the conditions the bicycle has encountered, and how well it has been maintained.
What do we do?
- Inspect the bicycle for problems, or potential problems, as we remove the wheels and the chain.
- Give the frame a wipe over, clean dirt away from bearings.
- Lube and clean the derailleur’s, and lube the brake and gear cables.
- Clean and lubricate the chain.
- Remove and clean cassette if warranted.
- Check wheel bearings for adjustment and wear, check spoke tension and wheel trueness.
- Pump grease into front hub.
- Inspect tires for cuts and glass, check inflation pressure.
- Check for play in bottom bracket and head bearings.
- Check operation of suspension forks.
- Check tightness of mudguards, racks, lights etc.
- Check pedal bearing adjustment.
- Adjust brakes and gears.
Complete Overhoul $100
How often do we recommend? About every 12 months / 5000 kilometers, depending on the conditions the bicycle has encountered, and how well it has been maintained. Often the chain and rear cogs with in need to be changed (average life 5,000 - 10,000 kilometers), sometimes the front chain rings also.
What do we do?
- Inspect the bicycle for problems, or potential problems, as we remove the wheels, chain, derailleurs, cranks, bottom bracket.
- Give the frame a wipe over, inspect head bearings.
- Clean and lube the derailleur’s, and lube the brake and gear cables.
- Clean and lubricate the chain.
- Clean cranks and chain rings.
- Clean and grease bottom bracket and fit new loose ball bearings.(Sealed cartridge bottom brackets will also be removed in general, so that threads and shoulders can be greased to prevent corrosion.)
- Disassemble hubs, clean and grease, and fit new loose ball bearings; check cones for wear and replace as necessary.
- Clean braking surface of rims.
- Clean faces of brake blocks.
- Check spoke tension and wheel trueness.
- Inspect tires for cuts and glass, check inflation pressure.
- Check tightness of mudguards, racks, lights etc.
- Clean and lube sliders under boots, and check operation of suspension forks.
- Check tightness of mudguards, racks, lights etc.
- Adjust brakes and gears.
- Remove seat post and head stem from frame and fork, and wipe insertion areas with grease.
- Check pedal bearing adjustment.
